Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15 1960) was an American actress. Known for her work in television and in film in the 1980s, she has received various accolades like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett is born in New York New York. She was born in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett, her mother and sister moved to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was just five. The father of the family had split from the mother of their children. When she was in high school Bassett saw John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided she would like to be an actor. Yale University New Haven Connecticut was where she earned her bachelor's in African American and master's degrees (1983). Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. The couple got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. graduated from the Yale School of Drama School with a Master's Degree in African American studies, in 1980. Angela Bassett is currently working in one of the lead parts as Ramonda in the action film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
